Plateau Enviro Associates is a multi-discplinary sustainability consulting company dedicated to solving critical issues that affect our communities, countries and planet: Global Warming, Environmental Degradation, Disaster Prepardness, Energy Efficiency, Potabile Water Shortages, Occupant Health and Safety, Malnutrition and the Obesity Epidemic, among others.

Our consultants and associates bring a depth of experience in multiple disciplines, functions and cultures, along with a passion for making a difference, to each assignment. We welcome customers and projects that include at least one aspect of sustainability, and share our desire to make a postive impact.

Our assignments have ranged from helping planning authorities incorporate Smart Growth and LEED for Neighborhood Development principles into their master plans, conducting community hazards assessments and emergency prepardness plans, and advising municipalities on developing green building legislation.

We've assisted builders to incorporate LEED for Homes standards in their projects, helped homeowners implement energy efficiency, comfort and safety features, and crafted LEED for Existing Buildings and ENERGY STAR strategies into their existing commercial buildings.

We've created new markets for product manufacturers wanting to sell into the 'green' market, developed and implemented green marketing campaigns for sustainable companies and non-profits, raised the level of sales and marketing professionalism for small, woman and minority owned businesses, and generated go-to-market programs for manufacturers of healthy food products.

We believe that by applying conscious business and principled leadership skills, together with expertise and technical competencies, we can help our customers achieve their objectives while creating the sustainable world that we all want for our succeeding generations

We are members of the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) national organization, and a member of the Colorado Chapter. Our managing principle serves on the USGBC national LEED for Homes Core Committee, and is the USGBC's Residential Green Advocate for Colorado

why the name Plateau Enviro?

From Managing Principal Daniele Loffreda:

There are no shortages of definitions and references to the word Plateau – geological, psychological, mystical.  I did a lot of research to try and come up with a catchy marketing angle for using Plateau. 

Finally, I gave up.

The truth is, I chose to use Plateau in our company’s name because in 1958 my late Grandfather purchased a struggling industrial distribution company of the same name in a small town on the edge of the Colorado-Utah desert.  My father joined him shortly after.

Through years of hard work, sweat and struggle they built the company into what at the time was an extraordinary success.  It supported our families and the families of many employees.  It put my sister and I through college and graduate school.

To honor their hard work and dedication, I decided to carry on the company name (although not the same line of business) when I left the corporate world to come back and help the family business.

Although from a branding perspective this is a difficult strategy, I decided that honoring my forefathers was worth the risk.
